The NFL season continues to chug along, and frankly, it's going too quickly at this point. We're already into Week 7 of the season and it feels like we just got started.

It can't possibly already almost be the midway point of the year...

Regardless of how quickly time is flying by, some quarterbacks around the league are still looking to get on track. They haven't hit their groove just yet. That could change with some favorable matchups in Week 7 action. Which quarterbacks have the best chance to have their best games yet in 2026 this week?

3 quarterbacks who could play their best game yet in Week 7

1. Kyler Murray, Minnesota Vikings

Over the past couple of weeks, things have been trending in the right direction for Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray.

Although the game plan has been conservative, he completed 73 percent of his passes against the Miami Dolphins two weeks ago, and completed 80 percent of his passes in last week's win over the Saints. He also had a season-high 7.6 yards per attempt against the Saints, on top of a season-high 51 yards rushing.

He's only had four starts with the team, and really has only played three full games, but Murray is starting to find a little bit of a comfort zone in Minneapolis. And that last part is key.

The Vikings will be playing in Minneapolis this week, hosting the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts appear to be on the verge of a full-scale rebuild as a team, and they have also been one of the league's worst pass defenses on the road in 2026.

They allow 271 yards through the air -- on average -- on the road this season. Considering they give up just 186.3 in their home games, it's a pretty substantial difference. Murray and the Vikings can take advantage of their overarching situation as a team, as well as their inability to play pass defense on the road, apparently.

2. Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks

Sam Darnold is coming off another rough performance in Denver where he threw multiple interceptions, and was bailed out by his receivers on some really risky throws.

The Darnold discourse has reached the point where Seattle fans are wondering whether Drew Lock actually gives the team a better chance to win. Based on what we've seen from Lock this season, it's hard not to wonder, but also...Didn't Sam Darnold just lead this team to a Super Bowl win?

This is going to be a "put up or shut up" kind of week for Darnold, who will once again be playing under the lights of primetime. The Seahawks are playing host to the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs, and their old pal Kenneth Walker.

So why would Darnold be primed for his best game of the season?

The Chiefs have given up an average of 253.7 yards through the air per game over the last three weeks, but that number is inflated by one game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Do you know who happens to be the head coach of the Raiders?

That would be Klint Kubiak, another old friend of Seattle's. They're going to study that game closely to see why the Raiders were able to throw for 350 plus against Kansas City's defense, even considering it was a game where Las Vegas had to come back in the 2nd half.

Nobody else has thrown on the Chiefs like that this season.

3. Bo Nix, Denver Broncos

To say this has been the worst start of any year so far in Bo Nix's career would be an understatement.

Nix has struggled coming back from the ankle injury he suffered in the playoffs last year, not so much physically, but with the mental hurdles that come after having multiple surgeries.

He's been a bit more gunshy on downfield attempts compared to the past, and is playing risk-averse football to a fault.

Nix is getting a matchup this week against the Arizona Cardinals, who rank 31st in the NFL in net yards per pass attempt this season (7.4). Even though the Cardinals are coming off their second-best game of the season in terms of pass defense (194 yards vs. the Rams), the dam has got to break for the Broncos at some point.

As much as the Broncos have struggled, we've seen them have success at times this season (vs. Jacksonville; 2nd half of the Rams game). With the criticism raining down more than ever, we'll get to see whether or not Nix is going to respond to the pressure in a positive way with a bit more favorable of a matchup.
