Minnesota Vikings: 3 Bold predictions vs. Lions, Week 14
3. Thielen, Cook will return for Minnesota
Over the last handful of weeks in the 2019 regular season, Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen has been trying to battle back from a hamstring injury he suffered against Detroit in the middle of the year.

The absence of Thielen has been felt in the passing game within Minnesota’s offensive unit over the past few weeks, with Thielen always being that reliable target all around the field that pairs well alongside fellow wide receiver Stefon Diggs and tight end targets Kyle Rudolph and Irv Smith Jr. in an offense led by quarterback Kirk Cousins.
If Thielen is indeed able to come back, which initially appeared to be the case going into the Week 13 matchup against the Seahawks on Monday night but ultimately didn’t happen, that will provide a nice boost to the Vikings offense as it returns home and tries to battle back from the loss in Seattle.
The other player that Minnesota should be able to get back, or at least it sounds like it will be able to get back in Week 14, is running back Dalvin Cook. Cook left the Week 13 contest in Seattle with a shoulder injury that forced him out of the entire second half of play against the Seahawks.
Cook told the media after the game in Seattle that he will be ready to go for Week 14 back at home in Minneapolis against Detroit, which would obviously help the Vikings in an attempt to get back into the win column.
If Thielen and Cook are able to get back onto the field this Sunday for Minnesota, the Vikings will be in good shape while they try to remain perfect in front of their home fans against the Lions.
