13. Las Vegas Raiders - Jer’Zhan Newton, DT, Illinois

The Raiders also need a franchise QB, but instead opt to bolster the trenches with the selection of Jer’Zhan Newton, the best interior defensive player in this year’s draft.  Newton looks to be a building block on that side of the ball for LV.

14. New Orleans Saints - JC Latham, OT, Alabama

The New Orleans Saints may have to plan for life after stud right tackle Ryan Ramczyk.  With their first-round pick, they opt for JC Latham, who is a huge player and has the necessary length and power to play tackle at the next level.

15. Indianapolis Colts - Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA

With the offense likely in good hands, the Indianapolis Colts turn their attention to the defense and draft Laiatu Latu from UCLA.  Arguably the best pass rusher in the 2024 NFL Draft, Latu comes into an excellent situation in Indy.

16. Seattle Seahawks - Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State

The Seattle Seahawks turned the page on the Pete Carroll era and hired a defensive mastermind in Mike Macdonald.  So, their first pick of the Macdonald era is Jared Verse from Florida State.  The Seahawks set their eyes on fixing the offense after this selection.
